Who We Are
Foundation Mission and Goals
The central mission of Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center is to help build a healthier community. With that in mind, the hospital established Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center Foundation in 1989, governed by a 26-member Board of Trustees. The goal of the Foundation is to help improve the health and wellness of our neighbors through community health education and service, philanthropic support, and prudent stewardship of gifts. The generosity of thousands of donors--community members, companies, foundations and organizations--has helped us provide exceptional health care and education to the residents of Clackamas County.
Through this community support, our Foundation has developed many projects and services, such as Clackamas County's first-ever Community Health Education Needs Assessment in 1996. From this, local task groups focused on identified health needs, providing primary care forums (offered at no cost to health professionals), health screenings, flu shot clinics, and free health resource guides.
The annual Hospice Tree of Lights and the Women's Health Fair are just a few special events that the Foundation has sponsored. Foundation also administers a number of Endowment Funds which provide ongoing financial assistance to a variety of programs.
