Our imaging services include:
Computerized Tomography (CT)
CT uses special x-ray equipment and computer software to produce multiple cross-sectional views of a specified area inside the body. The images acquired on our multi-slice CT scanner of internal organs, bone, soft tissue and blood vessels provide greater clarity than conventional x-rays.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
This is one of the safest and most comfortable diagnostic imaging studies available. MRI scans produce accurate images of organs, soft tissues, bone and virtually all internal body structures without exposing the patient to X-rays. Your images are stored on a specialized computer network dedicated to medical image storage called a Picture Archival and Communications System, also known as PACS. Our exceptionally quiet MRI scanner has a design that reduces anxiety for most patients, and lets them listen to music during exams.
Echocardiography
This special ultrasound is used to identify abnormalities in the various structures within the heart.
Nuclear Medicine
These tests evaluate functions of your internal organs using radioisotopes and cameras to evaluate real-time function of organs.
General Radiology (X-rays)
X-rays are the oldest and most frequently used form of medical imaging. New radiological technologies are applied to quickly produce high quality digital images of a specific area inside the body. These are viewable on a computer screen and stored electronically. This involves using low-dose radiation to create images of bones and tissue to diagnose injuries and early-stage diseases and determine progress of treatment.
PACS - Picture Archiving and Communication System
With PACS, images can go everywhere. As digital scans are completed, pictures are electronically stored along with patient information. The images and medical documents from your exam can be instantly accessed and viewed throughout the hospital and in some physicians offices. They can even be recorded on CD, if requested. This improved efficiency gives you and your doctor the information you need to make informed choices about your health care.
